• When can't we trim our hedges?

Hedges fulfill many roles. They provide resources (wood or food), protect against wind, sun and bad weather and even limit soil erosion. They are also home to many species, including insects, and several birds such as the Robin, build their nests there. From mid-March, the nesting season begins.

To avoid disturbing or dislodging the birds during this crucial period in their life cycle, it is recommended not to trim hedges or prune trees from March 15 to July 31.
